In October 2018, I flew down to Nicaragua as the photographer on a media team there to create content for their upcoming campaign, and enough to be used through all of 2019.
We spent a week following the team around on their visits to schools, community meetings, and potential partners. We spoke to the students, teachers, and parents all day, and would come back to the office and spend hours each night pouring everything we'd captured that day to try and figure out which stories we wanted to share.
For the campaign, I created 8 weeks worth of content including photographs, stories, and posting suggestions all structured around the idea of "Give First." I also designed image cards to be distributed and posted across platforms on Giving Tuesday to launch the campaign.
Below is a small sampling of the stories I captured during the week in Nicaragua.
